How Can I Take a Look at a Rental?
You can call or text 828 450-6141 or email pkproperties.rent@gmail.com to schedule a viewing.
If the property is vacant, you can usually checkout a key for a refundable key deposit of $50 cash, and by providing ID, and go to the property on your own. When you bring the key back (within 24 hours), you will get your deposit back.
Oftentimes, we will host an "Open House," where the property is opened up for 2-3 hours, and anybody who is interested may stop by during this time. Open houses are listed on the website, social media, and other online sources.
Occasionally, we will accompany potential Tenants to properties that are occupied. Timeliness is important and we will not reschedule meetings, should you not show up to your scheduled timeslot.
What is Your Pet Policy?
Most of our rentals are pet friendly and should be noted on each individual listing, and every final decision is based on Owner's discresion. The typical pet fee is NON-refundable, paid one-time at the start of the lease, and is $200.00 per dog and $100.00 per cat. We do not allow dogs that are considered aggressive breeds such as pit-bulls, rottweilers, german shepherds and dobermans.
How Can I Pay Rent and Make Repair Requests?
Before the start of your lease, you will be emailed with information about how to access your "Tenant Portal." Once you create an account and login, you will have instant access to make online payments (small convenience fee applies), see balance and transaction history, submit repair requests, update your contact information, and view your lease information/documents.
You may also always drop a rent check at our PO Box or email us directly with repair requests.
What Are General Lease Terms and Deposit Amounts?
Most unfurnished leases are for period of 12 months and require a 1 month to 1 1/2 month's rent amount for a deposit. Furnished rentals are generally shorter term, for at least a month, and deposit amount varies.
Do You Accept Section 8 Housing Vouchers?
Many, but not all, of our Owners are able to accept Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers. Please inquire directly to see if a property qualifies.
